National awards 2019 received by Globevnik, Arčon, Brešar and Ravnik
On November 20, 2019, the Žiga Zois Awards, Slovenian national awards for scientific achievements, were awarded to 11 Slovenian scientists, 4 of whom are members of our Society:
- dr. Josip Globevnik, received the Žiga Zois Award for his lifetime contributions to mathematics in the field of complex analysis
- dr. Denis Arčon, received the Žiga Zois Award for outstanding achievements in the fields of quantum magnetism and unusual superconductivity
- dr. Boštjan Brešar, received the Žiga Zois Plaque for important achievements in mathematics in the field of graph theory
- dr. Miha Ravnik, received the Žiga Zois Plaque for important achievements in the field of soft matter physics
